Responsibilities
- Harvest Operations: Perform manual harvesting of corn, soybeans, and other crops according to established quality standards.
- Machinery Operation: Safely operate tractors, combines, and other farm equipment under direct supervision.
- Crop Maintenance: Assist in planting, irrigation, weeding, and general crop care tasks.
- Quality Control: Inspect harvested goods to ensure they meet market specifications and pack them efficiently.
- Logistics: Load and unload produce onto trucks for transport to local processing facilities.
- Site Safety: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines, farm protocols, and PPE requirements at all times.
Qualifications
- Visa Eligibility: Must possess a valid H2A visa or be eligible for H2A sponsorship.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Experience: Previous experience in agriculture, farming, or farm labor is preferred but not required for qualified applicants.
- Availability: Must be available to work long hours, including weekends and holidays during peak season.
- Communication: Basic English proficiency for understanding safety instructions and coordinating with team members.
- Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality, hard work, and teamwork.
