Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end supply chain and logistics operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize waste.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of logistics coordinators and support staff to meet performance targets.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rates, inventory accuracy, and freight costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, warehousing, and transportation departments.
- Ensure full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding transportation and safety.
- Analyze data to identify trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives in operational workflows.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or operations management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven track record of managing logistics teams and optimizing supply chain processes.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and logistics software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to travel occasionally to supplier sites or distribution centers.
