Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on their age-specific and needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the provider, ensuring accurate dosing and patient safety.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities to the charge nurse or physician immediately.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and self-care techniques.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in accordance with hospital standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless continuum of care for all patients.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas or a compact state.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Masterβs degree preferred.
- CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred based on specialty.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently (critical for international applicants).
- Eligibility to work in the United States and willingness to undergo visa sponsorship processes (H1B).
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
