Responsibilities
- Planting & Cultivation: Assist in the planting, weeding, and cultivation of various crops, including leafy greens, fruits, and vegetables.
- Harvesting: Perform efficient harvesting of crops, ensuring quality standards are met and produce is handled with care.
- Machinery Operation: Operate farm machinery and equipment safely, including tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems.
- Pest Management: Monitor crop health and assist in the application of fertilizers and pesticides according to safety guidelines.
- General Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including cleaning tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with a diverse team to meet daily production targets and operational goals.
Qualifications
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the United States and willing to participate in the H2A visa process.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects and standing for long hours.
- English Proficiency: Basic understanding of English is required for safety and communication purposes.
- Relocation: Willingness to relocate to agricultural work sites in New Jersey or surrounding regions.
- Experience: Previous experience in agriculture, farming, or greenhouse operations is preferred but not always required.
- Work Ethic: Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and reliability.
