Responsibilities
- Crop Operations: Perform manual labor tasks such as planting, cultivating, weeding, and harvesting fruits, vegetables, or grains according to established procedures.
- Machinery Operation: Safely operate farm machinery, tractors, and equipment (e.g., balers, planters) under supervision.
- Farm Maintenance: Assist in maintaining farm cleanliness, sanitation standards, and general facility upkeep.
- Quality Control: Monitor crop quality and report any issues or irregularities to the farm supervisor immediately.
- Inventory Management: Assist in the loading, unloading, and sorting of produce for transport to packing houses or markets.
- Seasonal Maintenance: Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks on irrigation systems and fences.
Qualifications
- Legal Status: Must possess a valid H2A visa or be eligible to work in the United States under current immigration laws.
- Experience: Previous experience in agriculture, farming, or manual labor is preferred but not always required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain, for extended periods.
- Work Ethic: Demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Communication: Basic English language skills are required to understand safety instructions and communicate with supervisors.
