Responsibilities
- Oversee Daily Operations: Manage the end-to-day logistics, warehousing, and supply chain processes to ensure timely delivery and inventory accuracy.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a diverse team of operations staff, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in current workflows and implement lean methodologies to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute operational strategies that align with the company’s long-term business goals and growth objectives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to local, state, and federal safety regulations and industry standards.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party logistics providers and vendors to secure the best rates and services.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as turnaround time, cost per unit, and employee productivity.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, supply chain, or logistics.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Problem Solving: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex operational issues.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting to stakeholders at all levels.
- PMP Certification: PMP or Six Sigma certification is a strong plus.
