Responsibilities
- Plant, cultivate, and harvest seasonal crops (tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers) following strict quality standards
- Operate and maintain farm machinery including tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems
- Inspect crops for ripeness and readiness for harvest; perform sorting and grading
- Apply integrated pest management techniques using approved methods
- Maintain farm hygiene by cleaning equipment and work areas daily
- Assist with crop packaging and loading for distribution
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production targets
Qualifications
- Must be eligible for H2A visa program or possess valid U.S. work authorization
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting (up to 50 lbs) and prolonged standing
- Basic understanding of agricultural practices or willingness to learn quickly
- Reliable transportation to work site in Charlotte metro area
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Experience with farm equipment operation preferred but not required
- Valid driver's license for equipment operation when needed
