Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Chicago branch, ensuring all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies that align with company goals and improve overall productivity.
- Team Leadership: Mentor, train, and supervise a high-performing team of operations staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in current workflows and implement Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
- Budget Management: Monitor operational budgets, control costs, and report on financial performance to senior management.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards are strictly followed.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management or a related leadership role.
- Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certifications: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is a strong plus.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data to stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure.
