Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Direct the daily logistics and operational activities, ensuring efficient workflows and adherence to safety protocols.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise a high-performing team of logistics coordinators and support staff.
- Process Optimization: Identify areas for improvement in operational processes and implement strategies to reduce costs and increase productivity.
- Performance Management: Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as delivery times, order accuracy, and inventory levels; report on performance trends.
- Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and vendors to ensure service quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operational activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Problem Solving: Resolve complex operational issues and logistical challenges with minimal downtime.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Skills: Proven track record of leading teams and managing operational budgets.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and data analysis tools.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to stakeholders.
