Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across warehouse, transportation, and distribution channels
- Implement lean methodologies to reduce waste and improve productivity
- Develop and maintain operational budgets with <5% variance tolerance
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using KPI tracking systems
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate service contracts
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and industry regulations
- Coordinate disaster recovery plans and business continuity protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Logistics, or Business Administration
- 5+ years progressive experience in operations leadership
- Proven expertise in supply chain optimization and process redesign
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/JDE preferred)
- OSHA 30-hour and Hazmat certifications required
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities under pressure
- Experience managing 15+ direct reports in union/non-union environments
