Responsibilities
- Oversee Daily Operations: Manage the end-to-day logistics and operational workflows to ensure maximum efficiency and minimal downtime.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise a diverse team of operations staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in current processes and implement strategic improvements to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, coordinate with supply chain partners, and ensure accurate stock reconciliation.
- Budget Management: Develop, monitor, and control the departmental budget, ensuring financial targets are met while maintaining quality standards.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA safety standards.
- Performance Reporting: Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare detailed reports for executive leadership to guide decision-making.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading teams and managing cross-functional projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex operational issues under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to stakeholders at all levels.
- Certification: PMP, CPIM, or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
