Responsibilities
- Oversee Daily Operations: Direct and coordinate the activities of the operations department to ensure smooth daily functions and high-quality output across all shifts.
- Process Optimization: Analyze current workflows and implement Lean Six Sigma methodologies to streamline operations, eliminate waste, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate staff, fostering a positive, high-performance work culture that encourages professional growth.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Manage vendor relationships, monitor inventory levels, and coordinate logistics to ensure the timely delivery of products and services.
- Budget Management: Develop and monitor operational budgets, controlling expenses while strategically investing in necessary resources and equipment.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operational activities adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including strict safety standards and labor laws.
- Performance Reporting: Generate and present regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior leadership to drive informed decision-making.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in operations management, logistics, or a related field.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving performance metrics to achieve operational goals.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data-driven insights to stakeholders clearly.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex operational issues and implement effective solutions under pressure.
