Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Manage the day-to-day activities of the Sacramento branch, ensuring all logistics operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate a team of warehouse and logistics staff to foster a culture of productivity and safety.
- Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in current workflows and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Supply Chain Management: Coordinate with vendors and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of goods and accurate inventory levels.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rates, inventory accuracy, and labor productivity, preparing regular reports for executive leadership.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA standards and environmental laws.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the departmental budget, controlling operational expenses while maximizing output.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, logistics, or supply chain, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team of employees.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data to stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a focus on process improvement and cost reduction.
