Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Direct and oversee all daily logistics activities, ensuring efficient workflow from receiving to shipping.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, and mentor staff, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Process Optimization: Analyze current processes to identify bottlenecks and implement cost-saving strategies and lean methodologies.
- Performance Metrics: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rates, inventory accuracy, and labor productivity.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with local, state, and federal safety and labor regulations.
- Budget Oversight: Manage the operational budget, including forecasting expenses and controlling costs without sacrificing quality.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and managing conflict effectively.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership.
