Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across multiple distribution centers, ensuring 99.9% on-time delivery performance
- Develop and implement strategic process improvements, reducing operational costs by 15% annually
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 20+ logistics professionals through performance-based coaching
- Analyze KPIs and operational data to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives with warehouse, transportation, and customer service teams
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety protocols
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to optimize service levels
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
- Minimum 7 years of progressive operations management experience in logistics/distribution
- Proven track record of reducing operational costs while improving service quality
- Expertise in WMS/TMS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Advanced Excel required)
- Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated team development success
- Valid Texas driver's license and clean driving record
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends during peak seasons
