Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of logistics and supply chain processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of operations staff, conducting regular performance reviews and providing constructive feedback.
- Analyze operational data and metrics to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and implement process improvements (Lean/Six Sigma methodologies).
- Develop and manage the annual budget for the operations department, monitoring expenditures and ensuring profitability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, procurement, and warehousing, to ensure alignment on company goals and project timelines.
- Ensure full compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards and labor laws.
- Implement and maintain robust reporting systems to track KPIs and operational health.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in operations management, supply chain, or a similar leadership role within the logistics or manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing budgets and leading diverse teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and project management software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime or weekends during peak seasons.
