Responsibilities
- Provide tier-1 technical support to employees via phone, email, and in-person regarding hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktop computers, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Monitor and report on system performance, ensuring minimal downtime for the organization.
- Maintain accurate records of all technical issues and resolutions in the IT helpdesk database.
- Collaborate with senior IT staff to learn new technologies and participate in system upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with company security policies and data protection standards.
- Perform routine system backups and patch management under supervision.
Qualifications
- No prior IT experience is required. We are looking for eager learners who are willing to be trained.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Computer Science or IT is a plus.
- Basic understanding of how computers and software applications work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Willingness to obtain necessary IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+) with company sponsorship.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
