Responsibilities
- Crop Operations: Perform manual labor tasks including planting, cultivating, and harvesting various crops (e.g., cotton, corn) according to seasonal schedules.
- Machinery Operation: Safely operate and maintain farm machinery and agricultural equipment, including tractors and harvesters.
- Packaging & Sorting: Assist in the sorting, grading, and packing of harvested produce to meet quality standards.
- Field Maintenance: Maintain field cleanliness, remove debris, and ensure proper irrigation systems are functioning.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to ensure a safe workplace for everyone.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a team structure, communicating clearly with supervisors and co-workers.
Qualifications
- Legal Status: Must possess a valid H2A visa or be eligible for immediate sponsorship.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects and standing for long durations.
- Experience: Previous experience in agriculture, farming, or labor-intensive work is preferred but not always required; training will be provided.
- Weather Tolerance: Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat and cold.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic, punctuality, and a positive attitude are essential.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
