Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Training: Supervise and motivate the weekend workforce, ensuring all staff adhere to operational procedures and safety guidelines.
- Inventory Management: Oversee daily receiving, shipping, and inventory counts to ensure 100% accuracy during the weekend shift.
- Safety Compliance: Conduct safety briefings and audits to maintain a hazard-free environment and ensure OSHA compliance.
- Operational Efficiency: Monitor workflow, resolve operational bottlenecks in real-time, and coordinate with Day Shift management for seamless handovers.
- Quality Assurance: Perform spot checks on products and processes to guarantee high standards of quality control are met.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit end-of-shift reports, including productivity metrics, inventory variances, and incident logs.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution center environment.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, train, and manage a team of 5-10 employees effectively.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) consistently.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to relay instructions clearly.
- Technical: Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software is highly preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and navigate various warehouse environments.
