Responsibilities
- Oversee Daily Operations: Manage and monitor all warehouse activities, inventory movement, and logistics processes during the weekend shift to ensure 100% operational efficiency.
- Inventory Management: Conduct regular cycle counts, reconcile stock discrepancies, and manage receiving and shipping protocols with precision.
- Team Leadership: Supervise a small team of floor staff, assigning tasks, conducting briefings, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or errors, ensuring customer satisfaction and reducing return rates.
- Reporting & Analysis: Generate end-of-shift reports, analyze operational metrics, and communicate critical issues to the Day Shift management team promptly.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance checks on warehouse equipment (forklifts, scanners, conveyors) and report major mechanical issues.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and possibly some holidays.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide clear instructions to diverse teams.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and inventory software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and navigate various warehouse environments safely.
- Problem Solving: Strong ability to troubleshoot operational bottlenecks and implement immediate solutions.
