As the Weekend Shift Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of our daily operations from Saturday through Sunday. You will oversee a team of dedicated logistics professionals, manage inventory accuracy, and ensure that all safety protocols are strictly followed. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for reliability and efficiency in the DC metropolitan area.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily warehouse and logistics operations during the Saturday and Sunday shifts.
- Manage, train, and supervise a team of 5-10 warehouse associates to ensure high productivity and morale.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate stock replenishment to prevent downtime.
- Ensure 100% accuracy in order picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Enforce strict safety compliance standards and conduct regular safety audits.
- Resolve operational issues and escalations immediately during the shift.
- Prepare weekly shift reports for the operations director.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Supply Chain or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating or fixed schedule.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
