As the Weekend Shift Lead, you will be the face of operations on Friday through Sunday. You will ensure that inventory accuracy, safety standards, and team productivity remain at peak levels while the rest of the facility is offline. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all warehouse activities during Friday through Sunday shifts, ensuring 100% on-time delivery targets are met.
- Conduct daily safety briefings and enforce OSHA compliance to maintain a zero-incident work environment.
- Oversee inventory management processes, including stock reconciliation, cycle counts, and shipment preparation.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate temporary and permanent staff to ensure high performance and low turnover.
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to prevent operational downtime.
- Generate and review daily shift reports, including productivity metrics and absenteeism data.
- Handle escalated customer service issues and resolve shipping discrepancies efficiently.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Logistics or Business preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of previous experience in a warehouse supervisory or lead role.
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
- Strong physical stamina: ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Proficiency with warehouse management software (WMS) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on team collaboration.
