Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during examinations and medical procedures
- Perform patient vital signs and prepare examination rooms
- Administer medications and injections as directed
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR)
- Schedule appointments and handle patient communications
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Coordinate laboratory specimens and diagnostic tests
- Provide patient education on treatment plans
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant diploma or associate's degree required
- Current CPR and BLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic a plus)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Must be available Saturdays and Sundays (7am-7pm)
