The Opportunity:
As a Senior 2D Motion Designer, you will translate static concepts into dynamic visual experiences. You will collaborate closely with product managers and frontend developers to ensure motion assets are optimized for performance while maintaining maximum visual fidelity.
Responsibilities
- Design and produce high-quality 2D motion graphics and animations for web, mobile, and video content.
- Collaborate with the creative director and product team to develop motion strategies that enhance user engagement.
- Optimize animations for performance using tools like Lottie and SVG, ensuring smooth playback across devices.
- Conceptualize storyboards and visual scripts before execution.
- Maintain and evolve the company's motion design system and asset library.
- Provide constructive feedback and mentor junior designers on animation principles and technical execution.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in 2D motion design or animation.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in character animation, UI motion, and vector illustration.
- Experience with prototyping tools such as Figma or Principle is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of timing, spacing, easing, and kinetic typography.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate design decisions.
