Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient health status, including vital signs and symptoms, to identify changes requiring immediate intervention.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and legal standards.
- Provide patient education regarding disease processes, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate effectively with other nurses, therapists, and medical staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Document patient care activities, assessments, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) preferred; Associate degree accepted with relevant experience.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with diverse populations.
