Responsibilities
- Install, calibrate, and maintain complex medical equipment including MRI, CT scanners, and surgical devices
- Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Train hospital staff on proper equipment operation and safety protocols
- Document service activities and maintain detailed equipment service records
- Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers for specialized technical support
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and healthcare safety standards
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency equipment repairs
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Biomedical Engineering or related technical field (or equivalent military experience)
- 3+ years of experience repairing medical imaging or surgical equipment
- Certification in CBET or other relevant medical technology credential
- Strong diagnostic skills with ability to troubleshoot complex electromechanical systems
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various hospital environments
- Excellent communication skills for training healthcare professionals
