Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering patient-centered care, assessing patient needs, and implementing nursing care plans. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality in our Indianapolis facility.
Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans based on physician orders and patient needs.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols and dosage requirements.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with hospital standards and regulatory bodies.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to code blue situations and medical emergencies, demonstrating critical thinking and leadership.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and nursing research to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Indiana (or eligibility for licensure via endorsement).
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Visa Eligibility: Must be eligible for Visa sponsorship (H1B, EB-3) or currently possess a valid work visa.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, proficiency with electronic health records (EHR), and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
