Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with hospital policies and nursing standards of practice.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, emotional, and psychosocial evaluations.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely as prescribed by licensed healthcare providers.
- Document patient care plans, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR) with precision.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in condition or emergencies.
- Provide education and discharge planning support to patients and their families regarding home care and health maintenance.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Nebraska.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred, though new graduates with strong clinical rotations are considered.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse patient populations.
- Willingness to obtain any state-specific certifications or training required by the department.
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Eligibility to work in the United States and willingness to participate in the visa sponsorship process.
