Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct thorough physical assessments, monitor patient vitals, and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and hospital policies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records, patient charts, and incident reports.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to code blue alarms and emergency situations, demonstrating critical thinking and composure.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, medication management, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Minnesota Board of Nursing.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required; NIH Stroke Scale preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical equipment.
