Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for machine learning and optimization
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims on our 1000+ qubit processors
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to commercialize quantum solutions
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure federal and corporate grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information theory
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in quantum machine learning or quantum chemistry
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Demonstrated expertise in superconducting or trapped-ion qubit systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and computational complexity
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters
- Track record of securing research funding
