Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop error-corrected quantum processors with >99.9% fidelity
- Secure $1M+ in government grants and industry partnerships for quantum initiatives
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD candidates and develop quantum computing curriculum for universities
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Contribute to open-source quantum frameworks like Qiskit and Cirq
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature/Science/Physical Review X)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (QASM, Q#) and frameworks
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and information theory
- Experience securing DoE or NSF grants for quantum research
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary technical teams
- Patent portfolio in quantum technologies preferred
