Role Overview
As a Principal Architect, you will bridge the gap between high-level strategy and low-level implementation. You will define architectural standards, mentor senior engineers, and ensure our systems are scalable, secure, and future-ready.
Responsibilities
- Define and articulate the architectural vision for the 2026 platform, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Lead the design of complex distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native solutions.
- Establish architectural patterns, coding standards, and best practices for the engineering organization.
- Conduct deep-dive technical reviews and code audits to ensure system integrity and performance.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Mentor and develop a team of senior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Drive the adoption of emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in software architecture, with at least 5 years in a Principal or Staff level role.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud architecture (AWS/Azure/GCP), and containerization (Kubernetes/Docker).
- Strong proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Go, Rust, or Java) and system design principles.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale migrations and system modernization initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
- Experience with AI/ML integration within large-scale infrastructure is highly desirable.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
