Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, injections, and wound care
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab procedures
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain sterile environments
- Manage patient records using Epic EMR systems
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule management
- Administer immunizations and medications under physician supervision
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA
- Proficiency with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask efficiently
- Valid Washington D.C. healthcare worker registration
