We are looking for a detail-oriented Part-Time Tech Relocation Specialist to join our dynamic team in Chula Vista, CA. You will be responsible for the secure handling, packing, and transport of sensitive IT equipment, ensuring that every asset arrives safely and is ready for immediate deployment. Responsibilities
- Coordinate the logistics of moving IT equipment, including servers, workstations, and peripherals, to and from client sites.
- Perform comprehensive inventory audits and asset tagging before, during, and after relocation processes.
- Collaborate closely with IT support teams to ensure proper configuration and security protocols are met upon arrival.
- Ensure strict compliance with all safety regulations regarding the handling and shipping of sensitive hardware.
- Package and crate equipment securely using industry-standard materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Track shipments in real-time and provide accurate status updates to internal stakeholders.
- Assist in setting up and testing relocated hardware to ensure immediate functionality.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; Associate’s degree in IT or Logistics is a plus.
- Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or IT asset management.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and security.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs safely.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills.
