Responsibilities
- Oversee Daily Operations: Manage the end-to-end logistics workflow, ensuring timely delivery and inventory accuracy.
- Team Leadership: Mentor, train, and supervise a diverse team of warehouse and logistics personnel to maintain high productivity and safety standards.
- Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in current operations and implement strategic solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Resource Management: Manage budgets, allocate resources effectively, and ensure all equipment and facilities are maintained to optimal standards.
- Compliance & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies.
- Vendor Relations: Collaborate with third-party vendors and carriers to ensure service level agreements are met.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in operations management within the logistics or supply chain industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and inventory management software.
- Leadership: Strong proven track record of leading teams and driving performance improvements.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present data to stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional ability to troubleshoot complex operational issues under pressure.
