Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize daily logistics operations to ensure timely delivery and high customer satisfaction.
- Manage a team of supervisors and operations staff, conducting performance reviews and providing mentorship.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as throughput, safety incidents, and budget variance.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards.
- Collaborate with the procurement and sales departments to forecast inventory needs and production schedules.
- Handle crisis management and problem-solving for operational disruptions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management or logistics, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Proven experience in budget management and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data clearly.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel or work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
