Responsibilities
- Process Optimization: Analyze existing operational workflows and implement innovative solutions to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop a diverse team of operations staff, conducting regular performance reviews and fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute short-term and long-term operational strategies that align with the company’s broader business objectives.
- Resource Management: Oversee budget management, inventory control, and the allocation of physical and human resources to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations strictly adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards and labor laws.
- Vendor Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and service providers to secure optimal service levels.
- Reporting: Generate and present detailed operational reports to senior management to track KPIs and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in operations management or a similar leadership role.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong command of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving change management initiatives.
- Location Requirement: Must be willing to work on-site in Washington, DC.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
