Responsibilities
- Monitor premises via CCTV systems and conduct regular foot patrols to detect security breaches
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies with rapid intervention protocols
- Access control management including badge verification and visitor screening
- Prepare detailed incident reports using digital logging systems
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services during critical events
- Operate advanced security equipment including biometric scanners and thermal cameras
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend preventative measures
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional security experience with night shift background
- Valid DC Security Officer License (SPO) or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Proficient in CCTV operation and incident reporting software
- Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills with de-escalation certification preferred
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Basic first aid/CPR certification required
- Valid driver's license with clean record
