Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic tests and analyze patient samples with precision and accuracy
- Monitor patient vital signs and document all observations in electronic health records
- Assist physicians with specialized medical procedures during overnight shifts
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to strict infection control protocols
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism and quick decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless patient care transitions
- Operate and maintain advanced medical equipment including hematology analyzers and imaging devices
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Medical Technology or related healthcare field
- Current Tennessee Medical Technician certification (or eligible)
- Minimum 2 years experience in overnight healthcare settings
- Advanced knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality protocols
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and laboratory information systems
- Valid CPR/BLS certification with ability to obtain ACLS within 90 days
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to remain calm under pressure
