Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and diagnostic tests during overnight shifts
- Administer medications, injections, and treatments following established protocols
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and point-of-care laboratory tests
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Sterilize equipment and prepare exam rooms for overnight patient flow
- Coordinate with nursing staff and other departments for seamless care transitions
- Respond to patient inquiries and provide overnight triage support
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic experience preferred)
- Ability to work independently and make clinical judgments during overnight hours
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional communication skills
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays as needed
- Pass background check and drug screening
