Responsibilities
- Install, calibrate, and maintain medical imaging and surgical equipment
- Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot complex equipment malfunctions
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Train clinical staff on proper equipment operation and safety protocols
- Document maintenance activities and prepare technical reports
- Collaborate with vendors for equipment upgrades and parts procurement
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and hospital safety standards
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field required
- 3+ years of experience with medical equipment maintenance
- Certification in BMET (CBET) or equivalent preferred
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Experience with imaging, surgical, and patient monitoring systems
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Willingness to work on-call shifts as needed
