Responsibilities
- Install, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment including imaging systems, patient monitors, and surgical instruments
- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using diagnostic software
- Document service activities, repairs, and inventory management according to regulatory standards
- Collaborate with clinical staff to optimize equipment performance and safety protocols
- Train healthcare professionals on proper equipment operation and safety procedures
- Coordinate with vendors for parts procurement and technical support
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO, FDA, and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Biomedical Engineering or Electronics Technology (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of medical equipment maintenance experience in a healthcare setting
- Certification in Biomedical Equipment Technology (CBET) preferred
- Proficiency in troubleshooting analog/digital circuits and electro-mechanical systems
- Strong documentation skills and knowledge of regulatory standards
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to multiple facility locations
- Excellent communication skills and customer service aptitude
- Willingness to work flexible hours including on-call rotations
