Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during examinations and medical procedures
- Perform patient vitals, EKGs, and basic lab tests
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Manage patient records and maintain electronic health documentation
- Prepare exam rooms and ensure sterile equipment availability
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow efficiently
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
