Responsibilities
- Plant, cultivate, and harvest seasonal crops including berries, vegetables, and nursery stock
- Operate farm machinery including tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems
- Monitor crop health and implement integrated pest management protocols
- Maintain farm infrastructure including fences, irrigation lines, and equipment
- Adhere to all food safety standards and organic certification requirements
- Collaborate with supervisors to optimize harvest schedules and quality control
- Participate in training sessions for sustainable farming techniques
Qualifications
- Must be eligible for H2A visa sponsorship or currently hold valid H2A status
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of agricultural practices and safety protocols
- Valid driver's license preferred (farm equipment operation)
- Ability to communicate effectively in English or Spanish
- Previous farm experience preferred but not required
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends during peak seasons
- Physical stamina to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
