Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Machinery: Safely and skillfully operate excavators, backhoes, bulldozers, and skid steers to perform excavation, grading, and material handling.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by clearing debris, leveling ground, and ensuring proper drainage before construction begins.
- Maintenance Checks: Conduct thorough pre-shift inspections of all equipment to identify mechanical issues and report them immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety standards and site-specific safety protocols to ensure a hazard-free working environment.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport materials efficiently, ensuring the site remains organized and productive.
- Communication: Collaborate effectively with foremen, laborers, and other operators to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform strenuous physical labor outdoors, including lifting heavy objects and working in extreme weather conditions.
- Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening as part of our safety policy.
- Experience: Prior experience operating heavy machinery is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals with a mechanical aptitude.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision to ensure grading and digging meet engineering specifications.
