Responsibilities
- Plant, cultivate, and harvest seasonal crops including vegetables and grains
- Operate farm machinery including tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems
- Perform field maintenance including soil preparation, weed control, and pest management
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and quality standards for all produce
- Assist in post-harvest activities including sorting, packing, and loading
- Maintain accurate records of field operations and crop yields
- Participate in seasonal crop rotation planning and execution
Qualifications
- Valid H2A visa eligibility and documentation
- Minimum 1 year experience in commercial agriculture
- Physical ability to perform manual labor in all weather conditions
- Basic understanding of farm equipment operation and maintenance
- Ability to work extended hours during peak harvest seasons
- Strong communication skills in English or Spanish
- Willingness to relocate to Richmond, VA area
- Valid driver's license preferred
