Responsibilities
- Operate heavy agricultural machinery, including tractors, combines, and loaders, following strict safety guidelines.
- Participate in the planting, cultivating, and harvesting of seasonal crops (corn, soybeans, etc.) based on production schedules.
- Perform routine maintenance and pre-trip inspections on provided farm equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Load and unload produce, feed, and materials using forklifts or pallet jacks efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with crew members to maintain a high standard of productivity and field cleanliness.
- Adhere to all OSHA and site-specific health and safety regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding daily targets and potential equipment issues.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid H2A visa or be eligible for H2A sponsorship.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions (heat, rain, cold).
- Valid Driver’s License required for transportation on-site.
- Previous experience operating farm equipment is preferred but not mandatory; on-site training provided.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to work long hours during peak harvest seasons.
- Basic English proficiency for safety instruction and crew communication.
- Willingness to live in provided on-site housing if applicable.
