Responsibilities
- Develop strategic technology roadmaps targeting 2026 commercialization milestones in AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams to prototype next-gen interfaces and autonomous systems
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 3-5 year adoption curves
- Collaborate with Fortune 500 partners to embed 2026-ready solutions in enterprise ecosystems
- Author white papers and present at global forums on the future of human-machine symbiosis
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D funding through compelling innovation proposals
- Mentor junior researchers in emerging technology ethics and responsible innovation frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Physics, or related field with 8+ years R&D leadership experience
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (AI/quantum/biotech)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum machine learning, neuromorphic computing, or synthetic biology
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.) or equivalent industry impact
- Experience securing government grants and venture capital for futuristic R&D projects
- Proficiency in futures methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning) and technology forecasting
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to executive and technical audiences
- Portfolio of launched products or patents in emerging technology domains
