Responsibilities
- Develop 5-10 year strategic foresight frameworks for emerging technologies (quantum AI, neuro interfaces, climate engineering)
- Partner with C-suite to integrate futuristic roadmaps into corporate strategy and product development
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with MIT Media Lab, NASA Ames, and Singularity University affiliates
- Author white papers and thought leadership on 2026+ tech disruptions for industry conferences
- Curate annual 'FutureNow' summit featuring exponential technology pioneers
- Mentor internal 'Futures Council' to identify paradigm-shifting opportunities
- Secure $2M+ annual innovation grants from NSF, DARPA, and private foundations
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic innovation, futures research, or emerging technology leadership
- Published author or keynote speaker on exponential technologies or societal transformation
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI governance, or climate tech
- Experience securing federal grants or venture capital for moonshot projects
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Theory, or equivalent interdisciplinary field
- Portfolio of implemented strategic foresight projects impacting $100M+ markets
- Proficiency in scenario planning tools (e.g., GBN, Kumu) and foresight methodologies
