Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify and analyze emerging technologies, cultural shifts, and market trends relevant to 2026+
- Develop scenario-based strategic frameworks for long-term business planning and innovation pipelines
- Lead cross-functional workshops to synthesize complex data into actionable strategic recommendations
- Author thought leadership publications and presentations on future-facing topics
- Collaborate with R&D teams to prototype solutions addressing anticipated future challenges
- Monitor global innovation ecosystems and competitive landscapes for disruptive signals
- Advocate for ethical foresight practices in all strategic planning processes
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- 5+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or futurist research
- Proven expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning, and systems thinking methodologies
- Strong background in at least two emerging tech domains (AI, biotech, quantum computing, etc.)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse stakeholders
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or strategic impact
- Proficiency in foresight tools (e.g., Delphi method, STEEP analysis, horizon scanning platforms)
- Experience with data visualization and strategic storytelling techniques
